PanARMENIAN.Net – In 2020, Viva-MTS launched its Museum Days cultural project amid the coronavirus pandemic with the aim of presenting the rich heritage of Armenian culture to the public through online tours.
The first season of the project included nine museums, among which the Sergei Parajanov Museum, the Yeghishe Tcharents Museum of Literature and Art, the Aram Khachaturian Museum, Martiros Saryan, the Hovhannes Tumanyan House-Museum, the Komitas Museum-Institute, the National Museum of Armenia, The National Museum of Armenian Ethnography and History of the Liberation, Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve of Erebouni.
“When we started the project, there was a lot of enthusiasm and faith that we were doing great cultural work for our compatriots. Due to the restrictions related to the pandemic, the whole world has switched to online communication and we have decided to give the opportunity to get acquainted with Armenian culture by remotely visiting different Armenian museums ”, said the director general of Viva-MTS, Ralph Yirikian.
Online museum tours are led by interesting and knowledgeable guides, highlighting the most interesting and important features of each museum.
“A great team of professionals worked on each program, we received very positive feedback, because each tour was really interesting. For example, there are so many exhibitions at the National Gallery of Armenia that we had to present it in three parts. I always love watching the shows and am in awe of our cultural heritage, ”added Ralph.
