Pet home deliveries – Shoprite launches online pet supplies business

The Shoprite group has announced the launch of its Petshop Science brand.
This means that customers can now have pet food and other pet supplies delivered to their homes.
South Africa’s pet economy is now worth over R7 billion a year and as it continues to grow the group has opened 22 physical stores across the country. That’s just a year from now, says e-commerce manager Mark Cotton.

We will be offering over 2,000 items online…One of the conveniences we offer is repeat ordering…once customers have identified the foods their pets like, they want them to be re-ordered occasions… at the frequency of their choice.

The delivery charge is R75, with orders over R450 delivered free of charge.
