WHAT DID NASEERUDDIN SHAH SAY IN THE INTERVIEW?
In September, Naseeruddin Shah won both bouquets and brickbats on social media for his views on the Taliban. Now, after a few months, the veteran actor is making headlines for claiming that the Mughals came to India to make it their homeland. A video of Naseeruddin Shah makes the rounds on social media, in which he can be heard saying: “The so-called atrocities of the Mughals are constantly being highlighted. We forget that the Mughals are people who have contributed to the country. These are the people who left lasting monuments in the country, who left the tradition of dance, music, painting, literature. The Mughals came here to make it their homeland. You can call them refugees if you want. “
