IRI, Profitero Link for item-level e-commerce analytics

In the United States, consumer data and insights company Information Resources, Inc. (IRI) and e-commerce intelligence platform Profitero have teamed up to help customers measure and optimize shelf presence numeric CPG based on actual sales at the item level.

Through this agreement, IRI’s item-level e-commerce point-of-sale data will be combined with Profitero’s digital shelf measurements on the IRI Liquid Data platform. The companies claim that by isolating the digital causal factors influencing e-commerce market share performance – such as inventory availability, product content, search position, pricing and reviews – down to the of the article and across IRI’s syndicated category coverage, the combined solution can help brands capitalize on growth opportunities faster.
