Alix Lapri on Effie Morales for Starz: Ghost Power Book II Season 2

Starz has one of the most successful series on his channel featuring Power which stars Omari Hardwick in this fascinating crime drama through its sixth season. He spawned a spinoff series with Power Book II: Ghost which is already in its second season following Tariq to create his own legacy. Alix Lapri, who had a supporting role in the final season of Power Book and the first season of Power Book II: Ghost, gives LRM Online a taste of what to expect with Effie Morales in season two.

As Tariq St. Patrick begins a new life at Stansfield University, he is torn between two worlds: doing as his mother said, living his life like a normal college student; or do what she taught him, shake up the product, to save the family he left Alone for the first time, he feels there must be another way. A better way.
For season two, Power Book II: Ghost resumed shortly after the shocking events of Power as Tariq St. Patrick grapples with the New World Order.
The series stars Michael Rainey Jr., Shane Johnson, Larenz Tate, Gianni Paolo, Lovell Adams-Gray, Daniel Bellomy, Paige Hurd, Woody McClain, Method Man, LaToya Tonodeo and Mary J. Blige.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actress Alix Lapri about her character Effie Morales, her relationship with Tariq, her motivations, and her personal journey to be a part of the cast of Power.
Alix Lapri started her acting career as Nataya in Reed between the lines in 2011. Then she was in the feature film Upright by DJ Caruso. In 2018 she appeared as Maloa in the action film thieves’ lair which starred Gerard Butler, 50 Cent, Pablo Schreiber and O’Shea Jackson Jr. Thanks to this film, she was chosen for the Starz series Power as Effie Morales, Tariq’s drug trafficker girlfriend.
Power Book II: Ghost is currently airing on Starz with new episodes every Sunday.
